Sugar Therapy, run by a husband and wife team, was initially founded as an award-winning Patisserie in Harrogate in 2010 by Charlotte Marrifield.
In 2015 the business moved to a purpose-built manufacturing site in the heart of North Yorkshire, to develop and produce the Undeniably Charlotte and Harrogate Cake Co products, it was at this point that Kevin Marrifield joined Charlotte at the helm.
Charlotte has been a patisserie chef for over 25 years, starting out in Michelin-Starred restaurants, before moving into innovation and development of retail desserts and confectionary in 2000.
Since then she has become the face behind the taste of many desserts and chocolates for the likes of: M&S, Waitrose, Sainsbury’s, GU, Lily O’Brien’s and Krispy Kreme. She has had commissions to design and make, Ireland’s largest chocolate Easter Egg, and the world’s most expensive doughnut. She has also supplied the Queen and won countless great taste and innovation awards.
Kevin joined with a background in food manufacturing, experienced in distribution, planning and production, he adds the perfect ingredient to the partnership.
Along with Charlotte and Kevin there is a team of bakers and patisserie chefs, who make incredible desserts and cakes on a daily basis, their dedication and desire to create perfection continues to amaze.
